"Defensive Operation"
Employees must operate LRV's in such a manner as to identify potentially hazardous situations soon enough to take reasonable and prudent action to avoid a collision. Responsibility to prevent or avoid a collision goes beyond carefully observing rules and regulations. Operators are expected to operate LRV's in such a manner as to prevent a collision.

| Traindrivers get naked for charity |

 TigerWales writes: Train drivers from First Capital Connect have stripped off to pose for the company’s first “Drivers in the buff” calendar.
Launched this week, the calendar features 13 drivers - 12 male and one female - who have bared all for charity.
The first £5,000 from the sale of the calendar will go to buy an artificial leg for Joseph, a boy living in the Ahotokurom Rehabilitation Project in Ghana, and to support the work of the project. The balance will go towards the Railway Children, a charity that works with children at risk all across the world.
Kevin Braybrook, a driver with First Capital Connect is Mr February in the calendar. He said: “I was a bit nervous at first as trains were running past us as the photos were being taken at the depot, but it was for a good cause so I bit the bullet and got on with it.
“It’s not a case of vanity on our part, it’s a case of us doing it for charity to help a little boy in Ghana – Joseph – to get an artificial leg and also for the Railway Children charity which helps children living rough on the streets across the world.”
Elaine Holt, Managing Director, said: “Over a year ago, a group of drivers approached me asking if First Capital Connect would support their fundraising efforts to raise £500 for a little boy, Joseph, in Ghana.
“We were very happy to support their initiative and I am delighted that we will be raising much more than £500.
“We are very proud of these drivers who have bared all. I hope that people will dig deep into their pockets for these two fantastic causes. I’m sure that people will have a giggle or two when they turn over the pages each month, all the time remembering just how brave they all were to bare all at our train depots.”
“I’d like to thank Peter Alvey for donating his time in taking the photographs, Alexandra for donating the uniforms and FirstGroup’s printers RR Donnelley for contributing towards the printing costs. Thanks also to the team at First Capital Connect for their design and promotional skills in making this such a success.”
The calendars are £7.50 each, or three for £20. Order forms are available from First Capital Connect stations or online at www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk.

| Rockies... Redsox... 2007 World Series !! |
|
 Hi Gang,
Hey cool, the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Redsox
will be playing in the World Series Baseball Championship.
This is the Rockies first appearance and the "Bambino Curse" was
lifted from the Redsox when they won a few years ago.
May the best team win. Denver and Boston will be rocking.

13 - 1 SOX 2 - 1 SOX 10 - 5 SOX 4 - 3 SOX
Boston Redsox sweep the Rockies and win the World Series.
It was a great run by the Rockies.
A fun October for the Rocky fans, and Denver is very proud of our Rockies. !!
We all know who Trainman was be pulling for....... Go Rockies.!!

There is a new .... old album back up.
Our member, Fancy, reminded me that the Fan Signs & Caps album
was gone. This album is for any Trainman fans..... ...... that want to send in
a Fan Sign pic. Some fans also like to take captures of Trainman looking stupid or funny,
then playing with the pic in your photo program and send them in for the album.
Check the Gallery to see what they might look like, for some of your ideas.

Hi Gang,
TrainmanCam is undergoing a major update that has been needed.
I also made some major mistakes, like Deleting a couple databases.
All Members & Galleries were deleted by mistake, sorry.
On the bright side, the site will be faster, safer, and maybe some new ideas will appear.
