| Traindrivers get naked for charity |

TigerWales writes Train drivers from First Capital Connect have stripped off to pose for the company’s first “Drivers in the buff” calendar.
Launched this week, the calendar features 13 drivers - 12 male and one female - who have bared all for charity.
The first £5,000 from the sale of the calendar will go to buy an artificial leg for Joseph, a boy living in the Ahotokurom Rehabilitation Project in Ghana, and to support the work of the project. The balance will go towards the Railway Children, a charity that works with children at risk all across the world.
Kevin Braybrook, a driver with First Capital Connect is Mr February in the calendar. He said: “I was a bit nervous at first as trains were running past us as the photos were being taken at the depot, but it was for a good cause so I bit the bullet and got on with it.
“It’s not a case of vanity on our part, it’s a case of us doing it for charity to help a little boy in Ghana – Joseph – to get an artificial leg and also for the Railway Children charity which helps children living rough on the streets across the world.”
Elaine Holt, Managing Director, said: “Over a year ago, a group of drivers approached me asking if First Capital Connect would support their fundraising efforts to raise £500 for a little boy, Joseph, in Ghana.
“We were very happy to support their initiative and I am delighted that we will be raising much more than £500.
“We are very proud of these drivers who have bared all. I hope that people will dig deep into their pockets for these two fantastic causes. I’m sure that people will have a giggle or two when they turn over the pages each month, all the time remembering just how brave they all were to bare all at our train depots.”

The calendars are £7.50 each, or three for £20. Order forms are available from First Capital Connect stations or online at www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk.
